Description

Embark on a thrilling session-based PvE survival experience with ICARUS, a game designed for up to eight co-op players. Navigate the unforgiving alien wilderness of Icarus, the remnants of humanity's ambitious but failed attempt to colonize a new world. Survive the hostile environment by exploring, harvesting, crafting, and hunting as you strive to make your fortune.

Prospectors descend from orbital stations to the planet's surface in limited-time sessions. Here, they must adapt to the alien surroundings, complete faction missions, and seek valuable exotic materials. Survivors return as seasoned veterans, converting their exotic finds into advanced technology and taking on more challenging drops. Those who don't make it back are lost forever.

Icarus, once envisioned as a second Earth, suffered a catastrophic terraforming failure that turned its air toxic. It became a symbol of humanity's failed attempt to reach the stars. However, the discovery of exotic matter reignited interest, sparking a gold rush and political tensions on Earth, drawing prospectors to Icarus.

SURVIVE

Immerse yourself in a deceptively familiar yet alien world. The First Cohort of prospectors has mining licenses for over 64 square kilometers of hand-crafted terrain. Explore hidden corners, mine resources, and traverse diverse biomes. Harvest every tree and voxel mine each rock for survival.

CRAFT AND PROGRESS

Master three tech trees: planetary tech, player talents, and orbital workshop. Utilize the planet's resources to craft tools, structures, and machinery for protection and aid. Develop unique skills and enhance core talents with surface experience. Return to orbit with rare exotic materials to engineer advanced tech. Choose skills and tech wisely for each drop, impacting mission completion, travel distance, production automation, and survival odds.

ESCAPE IN TIME

Your time on Icarus is limited, so watch the clock and use every second wisely. The orbital space station waits for no one. Failure to return to your dropship means no rescue, and your progress and tech are lost to planet Icarus. Choose session durations ranging from hours to days or weeks, or play cautiously and establish a permanent outpost. Each drop has a clear goal, but how you overcome challenges is entirely up to you.
